Language Testing Services (LTS) first ran the conference back in 2017 with the aim of giving all those involved in English language teaching the chance to keep up to date with the latest developments in the industry. Since then, we have held 5 conferences in which we were delighted to welcome an excellent line-up of ELT professionals who all contributed to their success. Again, this year, we are honoured to host a wide range of speakers all of whom are experts in their field.

None of this would be possible without the collaboration of our sponsors, who have supported us from the very beginning and have given us the opportunity to bring some world-class speakers to the Basque Country. We are also incredibly grateful to the hundreds of teachers who have attended our conferences and who have all helped to make them days to remember.

“FLOWING
INTO THE
FUTURE”

Nowadays, technology is an important part of the learning process and many students are immersed in a technology mediated learning environment. We want to explore how technology is driving learning, how new gadgets and devices are influencing the learning process and how these changes are affecting our learners’ brains.

CLARA D. MARTIN

Clara D. Martin is an Ikerbasque research professor at the BCBL (Basque Center on Cognition, Brain and Language, San Sebastián, Spain), leader of the research group “Speech and Bilingualism”.

The main objective of Dr. Martin’s research group is to explore language perception and production, in native and foreign languages, with a special focus on language interactions in the bilingual mind. Her research group also focuses on language learning, exploring how we learn to perceive and produce novel sounds and words, and how those processes can be optimized.
