Language Testing Services (LTS) first ran the conference back in 2017 with the aim of giving all those involved in English language teaching the chance to keep up to date with the latest developments in the industry. Since then, we have held 3 conferences in which we were delighted to welcome an excellent line-up of ELT professionals who all contributed to their success. Again, this year, we are honoured to host a wide range of speakers all of whom are experts in their field.

This FREE event, in collaboration with Richmond, will be held on May 10th at the Hotel Palacio de Aiete from 9:30 to 14:00.

Release the pressure – taking the tension out of teenage lessons
Anything and everything you do in a teens’ class will either add to or take away from the existing tension in the room. In this session I shall talk about how some of our default teaching techniques might add an unnecessary element of strain and I shall draw on ideas I have fielded over the last two decades to offer small tweaks and alternatives. There will be examples, anecdotes and photos from my own classes. Suitable for new and experience teachers alike.
WHY IS EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE KEY TO SUCCESS IN THE CLASSROOM?
The ability to manage our own emotions and support students in regulating theirs is crucial for overcoming frustrations and fears, which in turn fosters deep, lasting learning. This presentation will explore the importance of emotional awareness, offering valuable insights for teachers at all levels who are eager to cultivate emotional intelligence both in themselves and in their students.
